For local businesses

Websites for local businesses.

Design, branding, and photography for cafés, pubs, trades, clinics, and shops, built and looked after by a small team in Victoria.

Design and build

A site built around how your customers find and choose you, with your menu, services, hours, and contact details easy to reach.

Brand identity

A logo, colours, and type that make the site, your signage, and your social accounts look like one business.

Photography

Photos and video of your actual business, shot by our partner photographer instead of pulled from a stock library.

Updates when you need them

Tell us what changed and we update the site, so you do not have to learn a website builder. Updates are billed separately.

Prairie Inn Pub and Built To Scale are live client sites, and Awdon is the live site for a product we built with a partner. All three open in a new tab. The rest are demo sites, each a working multi-page build with its own design, made to fit its industry. Browse the pages and try the forms. If one is close to what you want, tell us what to change and we will build it for your business.

Questions

Common questions

What is included in a website?

The design and build of the site, a logo and brand identity if you need one, and photography and video through our partner photographer. Updates after launch, such as a new menu or new hours, are available and billed separately.

Do I need to learn how to update the site?

No. Email us what changed and we update it for you, so you do not have to learn a website builder. Updates are billed separately from the original build.

How much does a website cost?

We quote each site after a short conversation about what your business needs, and we agree any change to the scope with you first.

Who takes the photos?

Our partner photographer and videographer at Vancouver Island Media. They shoot your actual space, food, or work, so your site shows your business rather than stock images.

I already have a website. Can you redesign it?

Yes. We start from what you have, keep what works, and rebuild the rest.

Who owns the website?

Ownership is agreed in writing before work starts. Under our standard agreement, the site is yours once it is paid in full.

Will customers find me on Google?

We set up the page titles, descriptions, and business details that search engines read, such as your address, hours, and phone number, so your site has the basics it needs to show up in local searches.
